The Golden Rules

  • Airtight & opaque: keep spices in sealed tins or jars away from light.
  • Cool & dry: store away from the stove, oven heat and any moisture.
  • Dry spoon only: never dip a wet spoon — moisture spoils aroma and invites clumping.
  • Buy sensibly: ground spices are at their best within a few months, so buy sizes you’ll actually use.
