Golden Haldi Milk

Haldi doodh — the golden nightcap that Indian grandmothers have sworn by for generations.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk (or plant milk)
- ½ tsp Chhatis King Haldi Powder
- 1 small pinch black pepper (helps absorption)
- ¼ tsp Chhatis King Cow Ghee
- Honey or jaggery to taste, a pinch of cardamom
Method
- Warm the milk gently in a pan.
- Whisk in turmeric, black pepper and ghee.
- Simmer on low for 4–5 minutes until fragrant.
- Sweeten with honey or jaggery, add cardamom and serve warm.
Why It Works
A pinch of black pepper and a little fat (ghee) make the turmeric far more absorbable — the traditional pairing was right all along.
